Hormonal contraception. Properties: Pharmacodynamic properties: Mesigyna protects against pregnancy primarily by inhibiting ovulation and causing changes in cervical mucus.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS

Because it contains both an estrogen and a progestogen, the precautions regarding its use are similar to those for combined oral contraceptives. Mesigyna should not be used in the presence of any of the situations listed below. The use of the preparation should be suspended immediately if any of them occur for the first time during its use. Presence or history of arterial thrombotic/thromboembolic events or stroke. Presence or history of prodromes of thrombosis.
