INDICATIONS

Gastrointestinal infections (traveler’s diarrhea), cystitis and other bacterial infections. Eliminates symptoms, such as diarrhea, fever and pain.Pneumonia; gonorrhea (a sexually transmitted disease); typhoid fever (a serious infection that is common in developing countries); infectious diarrhea (infections that cause severe diarrhea); and infections.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS

It is generally well tolerated, the most frequent side effects are: nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, headache, nervousness and exanthematic rashes. Hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin, other quinolone derivatives and other chemically related derivatives, such as nalidixic acid and cinoxacin. In pregnancy, because ciprofloxacin crosses the placenta. In lactation, because it is distributed in breast milk; and children under 18 years of age, except when the benefits outweigh the risks, or in the case of inhalation exposure to the anthrax bacillus.
