INDICATIONS
Indicated for the treatment of the following infections due to susceptible strains of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria: respiratory tract infections. Bacterial meningitis the addition of an aminoglycoside may increase the effectiveness of ampicillin against gram-negative bacteria in particular. Septicemia and endocarditis the addition of an aminoglycoside may increase the effectiveness of ampicillin in the case of enterococcal endocarditis. urinary tract infections.
