DESCRIPTION

AMOXY PLUS 312.5 mg/5 mL is a combination of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid in powder for oral suspension. Route of administration: oral.

INDICATIONS

Indicated for the treatment of infections in adults and children caused by susceptible microorganisms, including:

• Acute bacterial sinusitis (properly diagnosed)
• Acute otitis media
• Acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis (properly diagnosed)
• Community-acquired pneumonia
• Cystitis
• Pyelonephritis
• Skin and soft tissue infections (e.g., cellulitis), animal bites, severe dental abscesses with spreading cellulitis
• Bone and joint infections, particularly osteomyelitis

CONTRAINDICATIONS

• Hypersensitivity to the active substances, penicillins, or any excipients.
• History of severe immediate hypersensitivity reaction (e.g., anaphylaxis) to other beta-lactams (cephalosporins, carbapenems, or monobactams).
• History of jaundice / hepatic impairment due to amoxicillin / clavulanic acid.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

• Administer at the start of a meal to help minimize gastrointestinal discomfort and optimize absorption.
• Shake well before use.

PREPARATION (RECONSTITUTION)

• Reconstitute with 94 mL of potable water (as indicated on packaging).
• Add water gradually up to the marked line on the bottle.

STORAGE

• Powder: store below 30°C in a cool, dry, and dark place.
• After reconstitution: keep refrigerated between 2°C to 8°C for a maximum of 7 days. Do not freeze.
• Keep out of sight and reach of children.
